Police on Sunday recovered the throat-slit body of a farmer from a paddy field in Kishoreganj's Bajitpur.

The dead was Nibu Mia, 60, a resident of Sultanpur village under Pirijpur union.
It was known that on Saturday (October 19) evening, Nibu Mia left home and went to a local market but did not return at night. The family members searched all possible places but could not find him.

On Sunday around 12:00 pm, locals reported to police station that they found his throat-slit body lying in a paddy field with his hands and feet tied.

Later, being informed, the body was recovered by the police in the afternoon.

Bajitpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC Murad Hossain) said legal action is under process in this regard.
