Coordinators of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam demanded the interim government that Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of ousted Awami League, be recognised as a terrorist group and therefore be banned.

They placed the demand while besieging High Court (HC) on Wednesday to realise their demand of withdrawal of the judges whom they recognised as collaborators of fascist Sheikh Hasina.
Regarding BCL, Sarjis said, "The student organisation that used illegal weapons supplied by the Awami League to shoot and kill our brothers and sisters must be banned."

He said that party loyalists and corrupt judges should not have a place in the court.

Hasnat Abdullah, said, "It is impossible to bring justice against the Awami killers and terrorists by those who were accomplices of fascism." They staged the protests in front of the Annex Building of the High Court at midday.

Sarjis said, "There is a transaction of crores of taka for case verdicts. Stop releasing accused persons for money in a discrimination-free Bangladesh. If this does not stop, wherever we receive complaints, we will go there. There should be no place in the court for party loyalists and corrupt judges."

He said that accomplices of fascists were returning in various forms.

"Whenever we see any harassment by them, we will take to the streets to resist them. Our parties may be different, our thoughts may differ, we may vote for different parties in elections, but we are all united against fascists," he added.

Coordinator Hasnat said, "It is impossible to bring justice against Awami killers and terrorists by those who were accomplices of fascism."

"Those in power have assumed their positions at the cost of the blood and sacrifices of students and citizens. Therefore, they should not attempt to rehabilitate fascists," he added.

He said Awami League activists have taken control of social media, citing that they are spreading propaganda.

Hasnat pointed out that it would take time to heal the wounds left by the Awami League over the past 16 years.

"The Awami League has taken the country to a 'minus' state everywhere, and it must first return to a positive state before moving toward development," he said.

He said, "Awami fascists must apologise for the genocide. The murderers of the students and people must be brought to justice, after that public will decide whether they can engage in politics."
