3 women held with drugs in Kurigram

Police arrested three women drug peddlers along with 60 bottles of Isfaf (similar to Phensedyl) at Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district on Monday evening. 

The arrested women are Mst Bonna Aktar Sumi, 25; Mst Dulali Aktar, 30; and Mst Renuka Begum, 57. All of them are from Bogura district. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid in Shimulbari area in the upazila and arrested the trio with the drugs, said AKM Wahidunnabi, addition superintendent of Kurigram district police. 

The arrested women were sent to jail after filing a case was against them under the Narcotics Control Act, the police official added.
