PATIYA, CHATTOGRAM, Oct 13: Veteran Journalist Nurul Islam, also the president of Patiya Press Club, died at his residence in Ward No. 3 Gobindarkhil Village under Patiya Municipality in the district at 3 pm on Saturday. He was 64.
He left behind his wife, three sons, a host of relatives and many well-wishers to mourn his death.
Acting President of Patiya Press Club ATM Toha, Vice-President Shafiul Alam, General Secretary (GS) Golam Qader, Joint GS ANM Selim, Finance Secretary Bikash Chowdhury, Publication and Publicity Secretary Mahiuddin Chowdhury, Office Secretary Mohammad Morshed, Sports and Cultural Affairs Secretary Sanjay Sen, and Social Welfare Secretary Gias Uddin, among others, expressed deep grief and condolences to the bereaved family.
