4 get life-term in Khulna drug case

A Khulna court on Tuesday sentenced four people to life imprisonment in a drug case filed in 2011. 

At the same time, the court also fined them Tk 5,000 each, in default, they will have to suffer one month rigorous imprisonment.
Khulna Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court Judge Sumi Ahmed gave the verdict in the afternoon.

The convicts were Abdullah Sheikh of Rampal Nawabpur area in ​​Bagerhat, Zakir Hossain of Dakshin Tutpara area in ​​Khulna city, Mehedi Hasan Tuhin of Sharankhola Golbunia in ​​Bagerhat and Babul of Mathbaria in ​​Pirojpur.

The court Bench Assistant Subhendu Roy Chowdhury confirmed it. The convicts were present in the court when the verdict was announced. Later, they were sent to Khulna District Jail.

According to the case statement, on April 16, 2011, a unit of RAB-6 conducted a raid and recovered Phensedyl from a rented house in Chanmari Ahmadiya area in ​​Khulna city. In the incident, a case was filed with Khulna Sadar Police Station.
