Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three drug peddlers along with huge Phensedyls and liquor from Amin Bazar area under Savar upazila in Dhaka on Monday morning.
The arrested men are Abdin Ali, 58; Bishu Rahman, 37 and Alif, 25.
Identities of the arrested people could not be known immediately but they all are affiliated with drug smuggles.
Mahbub Hossain, DAB of RAB-3, confirmed the informaton on Tuesday morning.
He said that a team of RAB-3 conducted a raid in the area and arrested the three people from in front of 20-bed hospital in Aminbazar under Savar upazila.
At that time, RAB recovered 300 bottles of Phensedyl worth Tk around 12 lakh and 18,000 bottles of liquor worth Tk nearly 5 crore 40 lakh from their possessions, the RAB official added.
The arrested people later were handed over to the Savar Model Police Station around 9:00pm on Monday, Mahbub added.
A case was filed against the trio under the Narcotics Control Act, said Jweel Miah, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.
They will be sent to the court on Tuesday, the OC added.
