A man was reportedly killed by his son at Khaliajuri upazila in Netrakona district on Sunday evening.
The incident happened at Lepsia village in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Jahed Ali Miah, a resident of the area.
The accused Jewel Miah, son of the deceased, was arrested in connection the incident.
Md Maqbul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Khaliajuri Police Station, said Jewel struck his father's head with a piece of wood over a family dispute, leaving Jahed Miah dead on the spot.
But, he could not confirm the nature of the dispute
