Mominul Islam has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE).
He was elected by the board members as the Chairman in the 1076th Board Meeting held on Thursday, says a press release.
Mominul Islam has twenty-five years of experience in renowned global and local banks and financial institutions.
He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt oriented to Business Transformation, Business Process Management, Lean Management, Operational Risk Management and Service Quality.
Mominul Islam is the founder of Clink Advisory, a strategic financial advisory firm focusing on M&A, Investment, Distress Asset Management and Strategic Transformation.
Mominul Islam joined in January 2012 as the youngest Managing Director (age 35) of a non-banking financial institution in Bangladesh and served as Managing Director and CEO of IPDC Finance Limited till January 2024.
Before that, he served as Deputy Managing Director from August 2008 to January 2012 and Head of Operations and Technology from April 2006 to July 2008 in the same company.
He worked in American Express Bank from May 2001 to October 2005 as Manager of Reengineering and Projects and in the same organization from January 2000 to May 2001 as an Officer in the Remittance Division.
Mominul Islam started his career as an officer at American Express Bank in Chittagong in 1999.
He received his MS in Economics with Vice-Chancellor Gold Medal from North South University in 2017 and Bachelor of Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University in 1998.
