Five AL men sent to jail in Pirojpur

PIROJPUR, Oct 3: Five Awami League (AL) leaders and activists on Wednesday were sent to jail on charge of vandalising BNP office in Indurkani Upazila.
The accused are Kalia Ward AL Secretary Sultan Ahmed, Abdul Quddus, elder brother of Upazila Chattra League (CL) President Sarwar Hossain, Upazila Juba League leader Saiful Islam Mintu, activist Motaleb and former upazila CL president Nuruzzman Khan.
Cases were filed in 2011 and 2012 attacks on the procession of BNP, vandalising BNP office, and residence of activist Abul Kalam Azad.
Police of Indurkani Police Station arrested them from different places in the upazila on Tuesday night.
