Inflation eases in September

The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has reported that overall inflation decreased in September compared to August. Inflation fell by 0.57 per cent in September compared to the previous month.

This information was revealed in a report published on Wednesday by the Price and Wage Statistics Branch of the National Accounting Wing of BBS.

According to the BBS, inflation was 10.49 per cent in August, which declined to 9.92 per cent in September. Additionally, food price inflation fell from 11.36 per cent in August to 10.40 per cent in September.

Similarly, inflation in the non-food sector also decreased slightly, from 9.74 per cent in August to 9.50 per cent in September.
