Lightning kills man in Khagrachari

A man died from lightning strike at Ramgarh upazila in Khagrachari district on Wednesday afternoon. 

The incident happened in Fenirkul Katalbari area in the upazila.  

The deceased was identified as Afsar, 45, son of Kuddus, a resident of the area. 

Belal Hossain, elder brother of the deceased, said that a streak of lightning struck on Afsar while he was cutting grass in a field, leaving him critically injured. 

Locals rescued him and took him to Ramgarh Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead. 

Md Moin Uddin, officer-in-charge of Ramgarh Police Station, confirmed the matter.
