Two killed in M'singh road accident

Two people were killed and seven others injured in a road accident at Nandail upazila in Mymensingh district on Wednesday.

The accident took place in front of Shamim Bhuiya Fishery at Dangri area along the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway around 1.30 PM on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Badal Mia, 35, son of late Amjad Ali of Sutaratia village under Chandipasha union, and Firoz Mia, 57, son of late Nabi Newaj, of Dasalia village in the upazila.

Locals said that the accident occurred when a Bhairab-bound Shyamal Chaya Paribahan bus collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw going to Nandail, leaving one dead on the spot and eight others injured. Of the injured, another died on the way to nearby hospital.

Nandail Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Khorshed Alam confirmed the death incident and said the bus has been seized from the spot and legals actions were underway to be taken in this regard.
