Housewife dies of snake bite in Noakhali

A housewife died after being bitten by a snake in Noakhali's Subarnachar upazila on Wednesday.

The dead was Sandhya Rani Das, 37, wife Sanchay Debnath, a resident of Paschim Charbata village under the upazila.
According to the relatives of the dead, the woman went to pick flowers in the courtyard next to the house to perform puja at the residence in the morning. On the way, she was bitten by a venomous snake on her left leg in the paddy field around 8:30. Immediately she returned home and informed everyone about it and started vomiting.

She later died at around 9 am on the way to Noakhali General Hospital.
