A man died from electrocution at Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district on Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at around 11:30am in Talukdarkandi area under Dityokhando union in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Hiron Sheikh, 45, son of Alim Uddin, a resident of the area.
It was learnt that Hiron Sheikh came in contact with an electric live wire while trying to remove a wire at a rooftop of an under construction building, leaving him critically injured.
Locals rescued him but he died on the way to hospital.
Moktar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shibchar Police Station, confirmed the matter.
Legal procedures are under process in this regard, the OC added.
