Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport will suspend operations for 3.5 hours every night from Oct 1 to Oct 14 due to maintenance work.

The runway will be closed from 1:00am to 4:30am during this period, affecting all incoming and outgoing flights.

The airport's Executive Director Group Captain Md Kamrul Islam said in a statement all flight operations will be halted during these hours.

He added that the temporary closure would impact flight landings and take-offs, potentially leading to changes in flight schedules.

A notice to Airman, or NOTAM, has already been issued, informing airlines and relevant stakeholders of the planned closures.
