Teesta erosion in Kurigram must be addressed

Dear Sir

The recent flood situation in Kurigram district and the ongoing erosion along the Teesta River have become pressing concerns that demand immediate attention. Although the water levels are reportedly decreasing, many local farmers have already experienced significant losses to their crops, which threatens their livelihoods. The rapid erosion in areas such as Khudir Kuti has not only impacted families but also threatens essential infrastructure, including schools and community clinics. This situation is alarming, as it endangers both homes and critical services that residents rely on.

To mitigate these issues, it is vital to expedite emergency work permits for erosion control measures. Timely intervention can help protect the community from further damage and support recovery efforts for those affected by the floods and erosion. Prompt attention to this matter is crucial for safeguarding the well-being of our residents and ensuring a more secure future.
