Two found dead in Jhenidah, Bhola

Two people including a minor girl were found dead in separate incidents in two districts - Jhenidah and Bhola, on Sunday and Monday. 

JHENIDAH: Police recovered the body of an elderly man from a pond in Kaliganj Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hamid, 70, It was known that Abdul Hamid got out from his house on Sunday afternoon, but did not return. 

Later on, locals spotted his body floating in a pond of a sugar mill at Mobarakganj on Monday morning and informed the matter to police.
 
On information, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station (PS) Abu Azif confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report.

CHAR FASSON, BHOLA: The body of a minor child was recovered from a river in Char Fasson Upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Tanha, 5, daughter of Md Saddam Hossain of Charjamuna Village under Dularhat PS in the upazila. 

It was known that Tanha went missing in the river in Ghosherhat Launch Ghat area of Dularhat while bathing in it on Saturday afternoon. 

Later on, her body was found entangled with fishing net of local fishermen near Jamuna Bricks at around 3 pm on Sunday and informed the Fire Service.

Being informed, Fire Service personnel recovered the body with the presence of police. 

The body was later handed over to the deceased's family members.

Char Fasson Fire Service Station Officer Md Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident.
