Two people were killed and at least three others injured when a covered van ran over some three wheelers in Dinajpur's Ghoraghat upazila on Monday.

The accident happened around 7 am on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional highway in front of Raniganj fish market.
The victims were Abdul Gaffar, 68, hailed from Rangpur's Pirganj upazila, and Anwar Hossain, 50, of Kochgram under Birampur upazila of Dinajpur.

Quoting locals, police said a covered van was going to Dhaka from Dinajpur in the morning. When it reached in that area, it lost control and ran over 5-7 battery-powered vans on the side of the road. Abdul Ghaffar died on the spot. Anwar Hossain died on the way to Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex.
