SUST BCL president arrested in M'singh

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Khalilur Rahman, President of the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), on Saturday afternoon.

He was arrested at around 1:00pm from Mymensingh's Bhaluka upazila. 

Khalilur Rahman, son of Md Abdul Awal, hailed from Kendua upazila in Netrakona district. 

Md Mashiur Rahman Sohel, Assistant Superintendent of RAB-9, confirmed the arrest in a press release on Sunday morning.

Khalilur is an accused in a case filed with the Kotwali police station under Sylhet Metropolitan Police. He was handed over to the police station following his arrest, Sohel said.

RAB-9's intelligence activities and operations are ongoing to arrest other absconding suspects in the case, he added.
