2 held with Yaba tablets in Jashore

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two drug peddlers along with 7,800 pieces of Yaba tablets from Nilganj area on the Jashore-Narail Road in Jashore district on Friday night.

The arrested men are Sujon Islam Bhuiyan, 27, and Sujon Mollah, 40, residents of the district town.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force intercepted a private car around 10.45 pm in the area and recovered the Yaba tablets after searching the vehicle and arrested two people, said Squad Commander of RAB-6 Assistant Police Super Md Habibur Rahman.

They were handed over to Jashore Sadar Police Station.

A case has been filed against them under Narcotics Control Act with the police station.
