Youth dies from snakebite in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, Sept 27: A young man died after being bitten by a venomous snake in Katiadi Upazila of the district recently.

The deceased was identified as Afzal Hossain, 22, a resident of Dakshin Charpukkhia Village under Jalalpur Union in the upazila.
According to local and the deceased's family sources, a venomous snake bit his leg while Afzal was sitting at Kazir Bazar in the upazila, which left him critical injured.

Later on, the family members took him to a Kabiraj. When the poisoning increased, he was then taken to Bhagalpur Jahurul Islam Medical Hospital in Bajitpur Upazila. Afzal Hossain died there while undergoing treatment.
