Five bodies recovered in five districts

Five  bodies were recovered in separate incidents in five  districts- Gopalganj, Dinajpur, Barishal, Bhola and Rajbari, in two days.
GOPALGANJ: After four days of missing, a woman's body was recovered from a pond in Muksudpur Upazila of the district on Tuesday  afternoon. 
The deceased was identified as Khursida Aktar, 37, daughter of Siraj Thakur of Nagar Sundardi Village in the upazila. 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Muksudpur Police Station (PS) Mustafa Kamal said, she went missing on September 21; later on, locals came to see her body floated on the pond beside her home on Tuesday afternoon; her body was tied with bric.   
On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body, the OC added. 
DINAJPUR: Police recovered a fisher's body on Tuesday from Bagulakhari  area at No. 5 Chhatil Union in Bochaganj Upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Arun Chandra, 50, son of Dinesh Chandra Ray of Sengram Village in Birol Upazila.    
On September 23 at about 7am, Arun went out of home for fishing. Later on, he did not return home.

On September 24 at 10am, locals came to see his body floated on the water at Bagulakhari. 

On information, Sub-Inspector (SI) Swapon Chandra and SI Manikul Islam of Bochaganj PS went to the spot and recovered the body. 

An unnatural death case has been filed with the PS in this connection. 

BARISHAL: Floating body of a fisherman, who fell into the Meghna River in Higla Upazila of the district during a clash with other fishermen, was recovered on Monday noon. 

The deceased was identified as Sohag,16.

On Sunday noon, seven fishermen of Baushia Village of Borojaria Union in Hilga Upazila went to the river with two boats. When they went to Dadpur area bordering Hilga and Mehendiganj upazilas to drop their nets in the river, some other fishers of Dadpur protested them. A clashed took place between them. 

Seven fishermen fell into the river. Six of them swam to bank. But Sohag went missing. Their boats were taken by the Dadpur fishers.

Later on, Sohag's floating body was seen in the river near Baushia Village.
    
On information, Higla Navy police recovered the body on Monday.  

In-Charge of Higla Navy Police Camp Wahid said, "We recovered the body and brought it to the camp."

Fisher Nazrul said, "Fishers of fishing Ghat owners Nasir and Sida of Dadpur attacked us in the river. We could have managed to swim to the  bank. But Sohag could not as he was hit on his head with bamboo.  Our two boats were taken away".

LALMOHAN, BHOLA: Police on Monday recovered the body of an unidentified man in the district's Lalmohan Upazila.

The body was recovered in the afternoon from Raichand Bazar under Ramganj Union.

According to police, local people saw the man, aged around 55, lying on road in that area and informed police. 

Being informed, Police recovered the body and brought it to Lalmohan PS.

OC SM Mahbub-ul Alam said, the body was sent to morgue for an autopsy. 

RAJBARI: An elderly man was found dead at the Daulatdia launch ghat at Goalanda Upazila in the district on Monday.

Deceased Monwar, 70, was the son of late Nur Box, and a resident of Lakshmikul area under Rajbari Sadar Upazila. He used to earn his livelihood by begging and taking shelter in the night on the launch ghat yard.

On Monday morning, locals found him lying in the yard and informed police as he didn't responding to their calls. 

Being informed, police recovered the body and his family members were informed, said Goalanda Ghat PS OC Rakibul Hasan.
