NETRAKONA, Sept 23: A 6-day agricultural fair began in Purbadhala Upazila of the district on Sunday.
Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) organized the fair on the Upazila Parishad premises under the project to increase the intensity of crops in Greater Mymensingh.
Purbadhala Upazila Nirbahi Officer Khabirul Ahsan was present as the chef guest while Agriculture Officer Alamgir Kabir presided over the programme.
Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Rafiqul Islam conducted the inaugural event.
Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr MA Awal, Purbadhala DAE Officer Syed Shakur Ahmed, former DAE Officer Shahnaz Afroz Moni, and Assistant DAE Officer Ruhul Amin were present there as special guests.
A total of 24 stalls have been set up in the fair where various modern technologies have been presented. The fair will be open for visitors daily from 9 am to 6 pm till September 27.
