Ex-UP chairman, his son held with firearms in Bhola

Joint Forces arrested a former UP chairman and his son from a house in the Bhola city on Friday morning.

The arrested men are UP chairman Nasiruddin Nannu, 62 and his son Md Arif, 33. 
Media Officer of Coast Guard South Zone lieutenant commander BNHMM Harun-or-Rashid said two pipe guns and a few number of sharp weapons were also recovered from their possession.

Nasiruddin was the Chairman of Madonpur Union Parishad under Doulatkhan Upazila of the district.

Harun-or-Rashid said a team of the Joint Forces conducted a raid at a house in Weather Office Road in the town early morning and held them with the firearms.

The detainees were handed over to Bhola Sadar Thana police.
