Scoolboy's body recovered in Madaripur

Police recovered the body of a schoolboy at Dashar upazila in Madaripur district on Tuesday, after 36 hours he went missing.

The deceased was identified as Shimul Bepari, 14, son of Niranjan Bepari and a resident of Rajapur village under Jhalakathi. He was an eighth grade student of Shahikar High School.

Citing locals, police said Shimul had been living in his grandparents house due for his study purpose. In the early hours of Monday (September 16) went out of his house to attend his tution and didn't returned home.

Later, on Tuesday evening, locals discovered the Shimul was hanging from a branch of a tree at a orchard in Aurakandi village and informed police.

Being informed, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Madaripur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, confirmed officer-in-charge of Dashar Police Station Md Mahamud Ul Hasan.

The victim's family members and locals demanded justice afte a thorough investigation.
