Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive has recovered firearm and ammunition, which were looted from Araihzar police station in Narayanganj district on August 5, in an abandoned state.
However, no one was arrested in this connection.
RAB-11 Media Officer Sanad Barua informed this at a press briefing on Wednesday.
He said acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB conducted a drive in Araihazar and recovered the one shot-gun, 19 rounds of bullet and one handcuff from a bush backside of a building on Tuesday night.
Earlier, on August 5, miscreants carried out attacks in Araihzar police station, vandalized valuables, set fire to the staion and looted the firearms and ammunition.
