Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested two individuals along with 26 kilograms of hemp from Sadullahpur upazila in Gaibandha district on Tuesday.
RAB-13 Gaibandha Camp sources confirmed the information in a press release on Wednesday.
The arrested are Shafiul Islam, 40, from Patgram upaizla in Lalmonirhat, and Ziarul Islam, 35, from the same area.
According to the press release, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Sadullahpur haat and challenged a private car. While searching the vehicle, the team recovered a total of 16 kilograms of hemp and arrested the duo red-handed.
Later, the duo was handed over to Sadullapur Police Station after filling a case under Narcotics Control Act, added the press release.
