Rains likely to drench country in 24hr: BMD

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers in all divisions including Dhaka in 24 hours commencing 9:00am on Wednesday.

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a met office update, UNB reports.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, according to the BMD.

The country’s highest temperatures were recorded in Kurigram’s Rajarhat at 36.5 degree Celsius over the past 24 hours till 6pm Tuesday while the lowest temperature 24.6 degree Celsius was recorded in Panchagar’s Tetulia till 6am on Wednesday.
