Dhaka University Professor Shawkat Ali has been appointed as the vice chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur.

Education Ministry issued a gazette in this regard on Wednesday (September 18).

Prof Shawkat Ali, a professor of Applied Mathematics at Dhaka University, was appointed upon approval by the President and Chancellor of the university under section 10 (1) of Begum Rokeya University Act-2009.
