Ex-DRU prez Azmal dies

Former president of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and veteran journalist Azmal Hossain Khadem passed away at a city hospital here early on Tuesday. He was 76.

"Khadem breathed his last at 12am while he was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in city's Tejgaon area", said the family sources of the deceased.

He was buried at Banani Graveyard after a namaj-e janaza at Banani mosque after the Johr prayer.

He left behind three daughters, grand children, numerous relatives and well wishers to mourn his last.    —BSS
