Woman's throat-slit body recovered in Rajshahi

Police recovered the throat-slit body of a woman in Rajshahi on Monday morning. 

The body was found at her residence near Raypara Cemetery under Shah Makhdum Police Station around 9 AM.

The deceased was identified as Sri Rani, 50, was the widow of the late Ajay. She had been living alone in the house since her husband's death. 

According to neighbors, Sri Rani had no known personal conflicts. Around 7 AM, some neighbors visited her home and discovered her body lying inside with her throat slashed. They immediately informed police, who arrived and sent the body to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RAMEC) for an autopsy.

Shah Makhdum Police Station officer-in-charge Mamunur Rashid confirmed that the body has been sent for autopsy and a case will be filed regarding the incident. 
So far, no arrests have been made and efforts are on to unveil the actual reason behind the killing, added the OC.
