At least seven people were killed and several others injured in separate road accidents in Pabna and Gazipur.
Two passengers of a battery-run auto-rickshaw were killed and seven others including auto-rickshaw driver injured after a bus crashed into their vehicle in Pabna.
The accident occurred on Sunday around 11 am at Sahapur area on the Pabna-Ishwardi highway.
The deceased were identified as Shimul Hossain, 32, son of late Abdul Jalil of Sahapur Jashodal village of Pabna Sadar Upazila and Safar Ali, 35, son of deceased Altaf Hossain of Islam Ganti Bhatapara village of the same upazila.
The injured are - Hamidul Islam, Rezaul Karim, Shariful Islam, Ismail Hossain, Haresh Ali, Rabiul Islam and Abdul Aziz.
Five people, including a woman and a child, were killed and another was injured in a road accident on Tongi-Kaliganj-Ghorashal road in Gazipur's Kaliganj upazila on Saturday night.
Though the identities of the casualties couldn't be known, they all were passengers and driver of a CNG-run autorickshaw.
