Journos urged to help curb crimes in Madaripur, Pirojpur

Journalists of electronic and print media were urged to help curb crimes in Madaripur and Pirojpur districts.

MADARIPUR: Newly posted Superintendent of Police (SP) in the district Md Saifuzzaman, BPM, on Wednesday promised to prove 'police are friends of people and servers of people'.

He made this commitment at a views-exchange meeting with local journalists. The meeting was held in the conference room of the SP office at noon.     

SP sought cooperation from all journalists in protecting law and order in the district. He gave utmost assurance of implementing opinions and advice of all.

Additional SP (ASP-Crime and Operations) Maniruzzaman Fakir conducted the meeting.

Journalists gave opinions and advice about drugs, terrorism, teenage gang, student's sitting during school time, and the accused of running cases.

Among others, ASP (Administration and Finance) Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, ASP Bhaskor Saha and local journalists of different electronic and print media were present at the meeting.


PIROJPUR: Newly posted SP Khan Muhammad Abu Naser held a meeting with journalists of Pirojpur Press Club (PPC) on Tuesday morning. 

The meeting with journalists was arranged in the conference room of the SP office. 

The SP said, mutual professional relationship is needed for building a corruption-free society.

"Journalists are working to find out truth. We are also working for the same but the way is different," he added.

He sought cooperation and support from the journalists. 

Drugs and gang culture will be eliminated from the district at any cost, he added.   

Among others, Press Club President SM Rezaul Islam Shamim, and General Secretary SM Tanvir Ahmed spoke at the meeting while journalists of electronic and print media were present.
