KHULNA, Sept 10: Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) Professor Dr Muhammad Masud on Tuesday inaugurated a tree plantation programme on the premises of the 'Durbar Bangla' sculpture in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the anti-discrimination student movement.
Engineer Jahangir Alam, a student of the 90th batch of the Civil Engineering Department, 'TRY', DREAM, Adventure Club, and KUET Photographic Society organized the programme along with the students of all KUET departments.
Among others, Dr Mohammad Sultan Mahmud, director of Student Welfare, Professor Dr Md Abdul Hasib, president of the Teachers' Association, Professor Dr Mohiuddin Ahmad, provost of Khan Jahan Ali Hall and heads of all departments, teachers, officers, employees, and students were present at the event.
Earlier, Dr Muhammad Masud, newly appointed VC of KUET, exchanged views with media people on Monday in the meeting room of the administrative building of KUET.
