The students staged a sit-in program to prevent the resignation of Premier University Chittagong (PUC) Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anupam Sen in the GC campus building at the university on Tuesday afternoon.

It was known that a section of students in the university wrote a letter demanding the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anupam Sen. As soon as the resignation letter became known among the students, the students called for a protest program to keep the VC.
At that time, thousands of students gathered and shouted slogans saying that they will not accept the resignation of VC Sir.

According to a source of the students, after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, there were demands for the resignation of the VC of various universities, but no student demanded the resignation of the VC of the Premier University.

They also said, 'Suddenly some students demanded the VC's resignation without informing anyone. We, all the students, are staging a sit-in program against the VC's resignation. There is no resignation, the VC sir will remain in office.'
