10 detained during attempted burglary at a building in Gulshan

Police have detained 10 individuals attempting to rob a multi-storey building in Dhaka's Gulshan.

The incident occurred around 1am on Friday at the Finance Square building in Gulshan-2.

According to the police, the suspects arrived at the building in two cars and several motorcycles.

They attempted to carry out the robbery after binding the security staff.

The building houses several financial institutions, including Exim Bank.

Locals, along with police and military personnel, responded to the alert and apprehended the suspects at the scene.

The police have not yet released detailed information about the detainees.

Gulshan Police Inspector (Investigation) Md Raju said: "We are currently checking if any items were stolen and verifying the identities of those detained. We are also investigating if there were any accomplices."

Police are preparing to file a case.    —bdnews24.com
