Police have arrested four individuals in connection with gang rape of a 14-year-old intellectually disabled girl in Panchagarh's Tetulia upazila.

The accused Abdulllah, 20, Sabbir Hossain, 19, and two other minors, all residents of Darzipara in Tetulia Sadar union, were arrested with the assistance of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on late Friday night.
The victim's uncle lodged the a case at Tetulia Police Station under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, naming four suspects and two unidentified individuals.

Panchagarh Superintendent of Police (SP) SM Sirajul Huda confirmed the information during a press conference at his office.

According to SP Huda, the girl was found in a disoriented state around 11:30 PM on Friday night near Magura Mor in the upazila by local residents, who immediately took her to the police station. After speaking with the girl, authorities learned that Abdullah had lured her from Chourasta bazaar on Thursday night and taken her to a house in Darzipara. From Thursday night until Friday afternoon, Abdullah, Sabbir, and two other minors violated the girl. It is believed that two more individuals were also involved. After the assault, the suspects abandoned the girl near Magura Mor.

SP Huda added that all four arrested suspects have confessed to the crime during preliminary questioning. The victim also identified them when brought before her. A medical examination of the girl is currently underway.
