Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a drug peddler along with various drugs worth TK 12 crore at Kalaroa upazila in Satkhira district on Thursday night.
The arrested man is Imon, 23, son of Abdus Salam, a resident of Rajpur village in the upazila.
He was apprehended from the Bangladesh-India border near Rajpur village around 11:00 PM.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB conducted a raid in the area and arrested the drug peddler. During the raid, BGB recovered two kilograms of Indian Crystal Meth, two bottles of LSD, and four bottles of foreign liquor.
Taher, Naeb Subedar of Kakdanga BOP, said the arrested man has admitted to being accused in two cases with Kalaroa Police Station.
A new case has been filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act, said Md Shahin, officer-in-charge of Kalaroa Police Station.
