Missing college student's body recovered in Sunamganj

The body of a college student, who went missing after falling into the Nainda River, was recovered from Ujanigaon area in Sunamganj's Shantiganj upazila on Wednesday.

The victim Anharuzzaman, 18, was son of late Abdul Awal and a resident of the same area. He was 11th grade student of Abdul Majid College.
According to local sources, Anharuzzaman slipped into the Nainda River and went missing while he was crossing a bridge above the river. Locals launched search operations to locate him but failed.

On information, police and a diving team from local Fire Service and Civil Defence Station rushed there and recovered the body around 9.30 PM on Wednesday.

Shantiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Kazi Moktadir Hossain confirmed the death, adding that the body was handed over to the family upon their request.
