Lightning kills two in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, Aug 17: Two persons were killed by lightning strike in the district on Friday afternoon. 

The deceased were identified as Ali Akbar, 30, son of Abul Kasham, and Kanchan Mia, 32, son of Mohammad Ali. Both of them were residents of Uttar Kalabag Village under Karimganj Upazila in the district.
According to local sources, Ali Akbar and Kanchan Mia were catching fish in the Bholadoba Beel in Mithamoin Upazila of the district in the afternoon. At that time, thunderbolt struck them, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Mithamoin Police Station (PS) Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident, adding that an unnatural death case was filed with the PS in this connection.
