More advisors are likely to take oath at 4:00pm on Friday, according to the programme schedule of President Mohammed Sahabuddin.
At present, the total members of this advisory council is 17 including a chief advisor and 16 advisors.
It's learned from different sources that some five to seven new advisors may swear in today.
There was a rumours that the names of former BGB chief Major Gen Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, former power secretary Faozul Kabir Khan, former advisor to the caretaker government Prof Dr. Wahid Uddin Mahmud, former advisor Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, now senior trustee of BRAC, former Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumder and former Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Anwar Ullah Chowdhury.
Former Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumder, who was previously appointed special assistant to the chief advisor, will also take oath as advisor.
The name of renowned photographer Shahidul Alam, the founder of the Dreek Gallery, is also being discussed.
However, no one could confirm about the number of new advisors.
According to the Department of Government Transport, they have been asked to keep five new cars ready for the advisors. But, they could not confirm about the number of new advisors.
After allocating 16 ministries to all advisors, 24 ministries and divisions are now in the hand of Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus.
