Barguna AL leader Jahangir Kabir arrested

Barguna district Awami League general secretary Md Jahangir Kabir arrested early Wednesday (August 14).

A team of  Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) from Dhaka arrested Jahangir Kabir with the help of Barguna policet, said Sadar Police Station OC AKM Mizanur Rahman. 

It was learnt that on August 12, Jahangir Kabir talked to former prime minister Sheikh Hasina over phone for three minutes from his Barguna house. Then Sheikh Hasina said, "You will continue the party activities in accordance with discipline and will observe August 15 (National Mourning Day) with due respect."
Jahangir Kabir replied," Apa don't panic, i.e. don't lose strength. If you are weak, you are nervous. We are strong."

In a video footage, there found some others district Awami League leaders when Jahangir Kabir was talking to Sheikh Hasina, they also chanted slogans supporting her.
