PABNA, Aug 13: A case has been filed in connection with the killing of students Zahidul Islam, 19, and Mahabub Hasan Niloy,14, during the anti-discrimination student movement in the district.
Dulal Uddin Master, father of deceased Zahidul Islam, filed the case on Sunday (Aug 11) as the plaintiff.
Sadar Upazila Awami League's AL Organizing Secretary and former chairman of Tenants' Union Abu Saeed Khan, has been made the main accused in the case.
Former MP (Pabna Sadar Constituency) Ghulam Farooq Prince, District AL President Rezaur Rahim Lal, Town Mayor Sharif Uddin Pradhan, former mayor Kamrul Hasan Mintu, District Juba League Joint Convener Shibli Sadiq and 103 other unnamed AL leaders and activists have also been accused in the case.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station confirmed the case filed with the PS.
