Ali Imam Majumder appointed special asst to Dr Yunus

Former Cabinet Secretary Ali Imam Majumder has been appointed as special assistant to the Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus.
"While holding the post of special assistant, he shall be entitled to the rank, pay and allowances of an adviser," reads a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday.

According to the notification, Ali Imam Majumder will receive all facilities like an advisor to the interim government.
 
Majumder is the first man to get the position of special assistant to this government.

The present interim government has taken charge on August 8 with the sworn-in ceremony of its Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

Till date, a total of 15 advisors have taken oath and another advisor Farooq-e-Azam will to take oath of office Tuesday.
