BNP Secretary General Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the interim government to hold national elections within the next three months.

Fakhrul said, "I express my solidarity and cooperation with this student movement. I extend my respect and sympathy to those who were martyred in the movement. The students united everyone, leading to the fall of this dictatorial government and forcing Sheikh Hasina and her family to flee."

Fakhrul continued, "This victory belongs to the students and the people. Now many conspirators are trying to take away this victory and have started looting."

He added, "We have to remain patient to enjoy the victory. No one should be involved in any misdeeds in any way."

The BNP Secretary General said, "The dictatorship has fallen, and the dictator has fled. But her accomplices remain and are conspiring against the country."
