Former culture minister and prominent actor Asaduzzaman Noor's house and Awami League party office were vandalised in Nilphamari on Sunday.

At least 25 people including journalists were also injured at that time. The attack incident took place at around 11:30 am.
The angry students also set fire to nine motorcycles parked in the food office next to the MP's house and a journalist's motorcycle on Mothermore Road. The injured were admitted to Nilphamari General Hospital and various clinics.

MP Asaduzzaman Noor said, "My house should not be vandalised in the name of student movement. If the students do it then I think some of them are misguided. I see students as students. I don't care if they belong to any party. I will say that there will be no more retaliatory incidents based on the vandalism of my house. I want peace to prevail in Nilphamari."

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nilphamari Police Station Tanvirul Islam said the protestors have been called upon to carry out the programme peacefully. We are patiently monitoring the situation, the OC added.
