Three found dead in Natore, N'ganj, Sherpur

Three people were found dead in separate incidents in three districts - Natore, Narayanganj and Sherpur, on Saturday and Sunday.

BAGATIPARA, NATORE: Police recovered the blood-stained body of an elderly woman from her residence in Bagatipara Upazila of the district on Sunday morning. 

The deceased was identified as Selina Begum, 70, wife of late Taslim Uddin, a resident of Tetanpara Village under the upazila. 

It was known that Selina Begum along with her only son Golam Kibria alias Bulbul, 32, used to live in the house at Tetanpara. She had three daughters and all of them live in their husbands' houses. On Sunday morning, one of the daughters could not reach her mother despite of calling on Selina's mobile phone several times. She then called a neighbour and asked her to see what happened.

Later on, the neighbours spotted the blood-stained body of Selina Begum lying on her room in the house and informed police.

Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. 

Locals said that the deceased's son Golam Kibria alias Bulbul is a drug addict and mentally unstable. They assumed that Bulbul might have killed his mother. 

However, the law enforcers have detained Bulbul for questioning. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bagatipara Model Police Station (PS) Nannu Khan confirmed the incident.

NARAYANGANJ: Police recovered the hanging body of a man from his father-in-law's house in Araihazar Upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Md Belayet Hossain, 26, son of Hazi Afaz Uddin, a resident of Gahardi Village under Mahmudpur Union in the upazila. 

It was known that Belayet got married with Ritu Akhter, daughter of Nayeem of Dairadi Village under Gopaldi Municipality, about three years back. The couple had been blessed with a son. 

After that, Belayet left for Malaysia. He returned the country five months back. On Friday, he along with his wife went to his maternal uncle-in-law, and they spent the night in the house of his father-in-law Nayeem in Dairadi Village under Gopaldi Municipality. 

Later on, the body of Belayet was found hanging from the ceiling fan of a room in that house at noon. 
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The deceased's elder brother Billal Hossain alleged that the in-laws of Belayet killed him and hanged his body from the ceiling fan following an altercation that took place in between Belayet and Ritu Akhter at around 12 pm. He demanded justice over his brother's death. 

Araihazar PS OC Ahsan Ullah confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report.

NALITABARI, SHERPUR: Police recovered the hanging body of a man from his residence in Nalitabari Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Alachad Mia, 30, son of Akkas Ali, a resident of Uttar Kapasia Jaruarpar area under Jogania Union in the upazila.   

It was known that the family members of Alachad spotted his body hanging from the ceiling fan of his room in the house in the morning and informed police.

Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene.

The deceased's family members claimed that he might have committed suicide by hanging himself.

Nalitabari PS OC Monirul Alam Bhuiyan confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind his death would be known after investigation.
