Students stage demo blocking major roads in Ctg

The students from various educational institutions of Chattogram city staged a demonstration blocking the major roads of the port city on Saturday.

Around 2.30pm on Saturday, several thousands of protesting students gathered at Newmarket intersection of the city to press their 9-point demands including stopping killings, mass arrests and harassment, trial of murders, release of detained students and opening of all educational institutions.
During the protest, the students chanted slogans occupying the major roads causing a huge traffic jam across the city.

Leaders of anti-discrimination student movement said that they will stay on the street until their demands met.

In addition, a large number of law enforcers were seen patroling the protest site in silence.
