Matiur takes 'early retirement'

Matiur Rahman, commissioner of Internal Resources Division of the Finance Ministry, has been granted an early retirement after he applied to take an early retirement.

According to the Internal Resources Division (IRD) order, Matiur Rahman applied for voluntary retirement as the service period was completed for 25 years. Based on his application, he was sent on voluntary retirement without financial benefits from August 28 this year.

The announcement came in a notification issued by the IRD dated Wednesday.

It says the retirement came into effect on Monday, without retirement benefits such as post-retirement leave, lump-sum grant and pension, following his application upon completing 25 years of service.
