Footballer Aminul Islam Saruj passes away

Swadhin Bangla Football Team member Aminul Islam Saruj passed away at a hospital in the capital on Monday.

He was 74. 

According to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), Saruj breathed his last in the morning while undergoing treatment at a hospital due to old age complications.

He will be buried at the ancestral home in Barishal after namaz-e-janaza, it said.  

In his career, he played for two traditional clubs -- Abahani and Mohammedan. He was a seasoned footballer of the Swadhin Bangla Football Team.
